Hello all, I've rarely posted here before but for those of you that remember...I have a budgie and her name is Periwinkle. Anyways...when we first got her she stuck to her one perch down by the door b/c I figured she liked to look out the window and listen to the birds singing. Lately though, she's started to fly on my mother's curtains..(she's already tore the string off one) so of course we chase her off but now she's sitting in her cage and sulking. Is she bored? Wants attention? I'm trying to think of some way to rig a new perch where she can sit in front of the curtains (big bay window) but a poop tray or something so she's not crapping all over everything. Any ideas anyone? Thanx, Carolyn |

I tied some manzanita sticks together with hemp twine, lay some paper towells on the window sill and set my little make shift perch on it. It's not the sturdiest thing, but my budgie and tiel just love to sit in the window. I put suction cups with hooks on the window to hang toys and they're happy for a good portion of the day sitting and playing there. |
