I thought if maybe I found a treat that "G" likes I might be able to tame him easier and he might be happier and have more fun, instead of just sitting in his cage. Any ideas would be greatly appriciated. thanks.

Millet sprays are a hit with my guys.  When I was trying to hand tame my lovebird, I started by offering a whole spray, and as he got more comfortable with my hand near him I started making the pieces smaller and smaller until I could entice him to eat one "clump" of the millet seeds that I was holding.  It might take a little bit of time and patience, but if your little guy shows an interest in millet sprays (and I haven't met a bird yet who doesn't) that's one good treat to start with.

Budgies should be given green foods....corn,silverbeet,apple,carrot and"
dandelion "(if available there) If your budgie has never been offered these
foods then it may take a while for him to try them....new things can be a
bit scary. ...Sweet corn can be too tempting for a budgie to resist ...Good
luck...Deb

Give them time with the millet.  To them, it's likely a big scary monster hiding in the cage!  My guys love carrot, celery, lettuce, and cucumber (I don't give them lots of it, it can cause runs) - but they just love munching away.  I give them the occassional piece of bread too, they don't really eat it, they just have a riot tearing it into itty bitty pieces and throwing it out of the cage...

Just a few min. ago i noticed him pecking at it alittle. I think he might have decided it wont hurt him or anything.

In hopes of taming him I brought his cage over and sat it right beside me for awihle while i watched tv. I talked to him alittle, but mainly just let him get more used to being closer to people. He is so scared, i feel so bad for him. He did calm down alittle though. I'll just have to work with him as much as I can without stressing him too much.
