Our caique is becoming quit the whistler! I've read that they have the ability to speak words. Anyone have one that speaks? He's such a sweet lovable bird. He's learning to say "uh oh" more like a noise than a word because i always say "Uh oh...here comes the dog!" also he loves to have his feet rubbed!!! too cute! kreppie |

Kreppie...I think they are adorable. I love watching them...they are such clowns! I had considered one, but had my heart stolen by a Crimson Wing who really needed a stable home environment with lots of love and attention. You'll have to post some pix!!! |

Yes, my little male Caique, Buddy speaks some words. His voice is very high pitched and he speaks ever so softley, like he is wispering. I was trying to teach him yummy, yummy when I feed him, and he says wooka, wooka. This is the only thing he will say out loud. They are great little birds. |
