Thinking about raising these birds, have had one for 19 years. Recently had to Euthanize him for brain tumor. Can't find any for pets so considering breeding them. Would like more info on breeding these birds, have only bred dogs in the past. Also, work for an animal hospital. Can you help? |

I'm sorry about your grey cheek. Grey cheeks are very hard to find. I have a cousin, the white wing. The brotogeris are a hard species to find, both in person and any information online about them. There is a Yahoo group devoted to them. I can't put a link here, against the rules. I wish you success in breeding them, if you can find a pair. I hear they are hard to breed. |

Hi I have a brotogeris, her name is Paulie and she is the sweetest, gentle little bird, I live in Ontario and I know there are not many of these birds in mt part of the country. I read that they are really hard to breed in captivety , I'm surprised there are not more of them for sale they are awesome little birds. Good Luck and really sorry about your loss it must have been heartbreaking. |
