I like those Emus too.  We have some down the road from us and they beg and will chase the truck if you drive by!  Soooo funny!

I was reading old measages and wondered if you still had your Emu? Whe we had our fires a few yrs ago, animal services from our shelter hafd rescued a couple from the fire areas. We had to nurse them and give shots. One survive but the other was too injured. They are really cool creatures.

We have both Emus and Ostriches just a few doors down from me. When I do my daily walks down the lane, I always stop and talk with them for a while. Fascinating creatures!

We also have Llamas and Alpacas, as well as horses of all kinds as there is a riding stables is right across the lane from my home. I love the feeling of being in the country, even though a supermarket is less than a five minute drive from me.
