for two days now I have randomly walked up on Robin and Nippy...SINGING to each other
they're whistling real low and in this beautiful sing/song pattern, it could only becauld singing
yesturday Robin got out of the cage...round up under the livingroom sofa...the way I found her was she was singing to Nippy , who was in the cage in the kitchen/diningroom...and Nippy was singing back
Is this some kinda mating thing? it's beautiful to sit and listen to, but I'm just wondering what's causing them to do it
thanks, flesea

Is American Idol due in your city anytime soon?

I think they are just so pleased to have each other and enjoy the playtime of whistling back and forth... Not knowing what ages or sex I can't wager a guess as to mating but Tiels do reach maturity around a year and this could be it!!!

Only I feel that my clues weren't so much the flock singing to one another, (all mine have excellent voices! maybe you've heard them already!) but other "hints" much more visual.

hahahaha..that's so funny and what a gentle way to put it
since Nippy is only 21wks old I guess the mating thing is out of the question
especially since there have been no 'visual'evidence as you put it
I'm glad to know they're happy
