My grandson just turned one - Ninja was more than happy to help him break in a few of his new toys. Kids! |

Wow ~ Adorable picture; beautiful child and beautiful puppy! It doesn't get cuter than that. Thanks for sharing, Jen. I love it. Barb ps ~ I thought that was the same toy I bought my 1 year old granddaughter Ava, but mine is a little different. |

Awwww ... what an awesome picture!! That toy is similar to the Fisher Price ones that my children had, only they were red and blue, and the shapes were yellow. Murray will be 43 in January and Jason 36 in April, so I guess maybe they have modernized them! lol Abby |

That is a very sweet photo.I am very courious about Ninja's coloring. He looks a like a Sable mix and let me tell you his coloring makes for a really nice looking Shepherd. I would like to see some more photo's of him a full body shot???? Oh I have not posted any photo's of Yuma. He is getting to be a big boy he is 18 weeks old and weights in at 45 pounds. |

I made a collage of him to show you how much he has changed. He doesn't even look like the same dog |

Yuma is a beautiful dog Karma! Wow, already 45 lbs at 18 weeks. Were his parents of good size? It sounds like he'll be 75 lbs or so when full grown? When I got my shepherd mix at 11 months old she was 42 lbs and now is 60 lbs. Kathy |

His mother was about average a slight bit bigger but his dad was big. The fathers head was up to my rib cage and I am 5 foot 7. At Yuma's first vet appoitment and only 8 weeks old he we 14 pounds one week later he was 18 pounds 3 weeks later he was 29 pounds and 3 weeks and 2 days from that he was 40 pounds that was 3 weeks ago... He is like a bad weed...lol I am thinking he might get to somewhere between 80 and 90 pounds that would make me happy because I wanted a big dog. I haven't shared this story yet because it still makes me shake my head Monday night we are eating dinner and Yuma has been house broken for 5 or 6 weeks now all of a sudden I could smell this Smell I said did someone PooooPooo?sure enough he did right there on the floor,so I cleaned that up washed my hands and came back to eat.Almost done my dinner when my daughter speaks up and says"Mom yuma Pooped on the Christmas tree" I was like NO WAY and sure enough I looked and he did.So we took it all apart and took it out and sprayed it down. I was so MAD at him but yet I was laughing so hard I had tears running down my face. |

Yuma is a beauty - (even if he does poop on the tree!) LOL Ninja came from the shelter with a "known" background (owner surrender) and we were told she was a black and sable. I wasn't sure really as I wasn't that familiar with the sable varieties, but ran into someone in my neighborhood with a dog that looked almost identical to Ninja. I was sure they must be related until I found out she imported hers from Hungary! Inany event, she's been a lot of fun - a sweet girl, and at 10 months she's about 60 lbs. Here are a few pics - the one with the tortoise was when we first got her at 4 months. |

LOL - no, that's Gordon - he's a CA Desert tortoise (Hibernating in my garage right now.) Sue is indoors on her heating pad - living the pampered life of a warm weather tortoise. :) Oh - and Yuma is definitely built stockier than Ninja - he's all boy! What a handsome guy! Interesting take on Ninja's questionable background. My neighbor gave me the rundown on the "sables" but I was pretty clueless. Wish I knew more about her background. I guess the most important thing is that she's a really good girl. (Don't tell her I said this though - she's kind of a chicken. I walk her at the harbor in Dana Point and there's a big slightly larger than life size statue of Richard Henry Dana that she is sure has some evil intent. She gives him a couple of "Woofs" everytime we walk past him.) |

Nice pictures of Ninja and Gordon! My dogs wouldn't just politely look like she is doing. They would be poking their noses at the tortoise, I am sure. Kathy |
