Does your lovie like to bath. Ours does not and all I read is that they should love it. Weird he doesnt but still he needs one so I spray him. Once in a while he takes a bath in his water dish but thats about it so I need to spray him. I would just love to see him enjoy his bath. Any suggestions. We have also tried a bird bath many times and he wont go in it.

Well, when I first got Wembley, I don't think he'd ever had a bath...so I filled up a lasagna pan with warm water, and some toys...and he LOVED it!  It's now our Saturday ritual.

You might try maybe a glass pie dish with some lettuce leaves in it and a little water.  My budgies like that, they get in and roll around on the wet lettuce leaves.  I have found those bird baths useless...they won't go near them, but they seem to like the 'open' space thing.  Another thing you might try, is putting some lettuce in your sink and leaving the tap just on a light drip (checking the temp regularly)...when i was a kid, that's how my mom bathed our budgies and they loved it...every saturday morning...Bluebird was in his little glory...lived to be 17 years old too!

Hope this might give you some help!

Christine

I find that it helps my birds get into the bath quicker if I put my hand in and splash lots of little splashes, just like they do.  It causes a big mess but if I don't, it seems like it takes them forever to finally get in....bath time turns into an hour.  I've also noticed that my birds don't like their bath water as  much if it's warm.  Even if it's cold and rainy outside, they want it cool.  I've heard lots of people say to let the bird sit on the top of the shower door and watch you shower, maybe that'll help.  Good luck,  it's so fun to watch them bathe.

Funny you match to let them watch to t ake a bath. Yesterday I put him on our Citrons cage while I gave my Cag and Citron a bath. THey love their baths. He just watch and I sprayed him lightly. He flew off, I put him on again and sprayed him lightly. I think this will help and I will keep doing it this way. I do love to give the birds a bath and see how much they love it. They are so fun.
