My lovebird Cleo doesnt like to be sprayed for a bath. (I still spray him to be clean though). He will on occassion bath in his water dish. Just curious if anyone else has a lovebird that doesnt like to bath either. All I read they are suppose to love it!! My others- Citron and Grey just loved to be sprayed and I would love for my Cleo to enjoy it to. I have tried bird baths attached to the door, bowls in cage, nothing seems to work. Should I just keep spraying him?

Don't know if this would work for you, but have you tried putting out a pan of water with some favorite toys? My ex-bird (Wembley) loved that...even more so if I ran the vacuum cleaner.  He'd get in there and splash around and make a right mess!  I know your guy is a wee bit smaller, but you might give it a shot.  My mom used to do that with our budgies in the sink...with some lettuce leaves..they'd roll around in them.

Hope that might help!

Hi there.
My lovie Razzle will bathe in the bathroom sink, after Ive had my shower (he sits on the shower rod while I take my shower).  I just put the faucet on a slight trickle, and he jumps into the sink and goes nuts under the dripping water. It is adorable.  Maybe your lovie would try that?

I had to re-join the group, because my email address changed again, and I couldnt get back on to the list.  My name is now "Razzlesmum" instead of Calliesmum ( it wouldnt accept Calliesmum this time)....

Hi,
I tried putting small bowls in and on top of cage this didnt work. I am going to try your suggestion with the toy in it. He loves his little small plastic balls w/the bells in it. I havent tried the shower either (Back about 15 yrs ago we had a parakeet that took showers with all us and he loved it) but my lovie really enjoys playing outside his cage and not hanging with me. He is friendly, playful, doesnt bite, always happy, just doesnt want to be held. Wish he would so I havent tried the sink or shower yet. I will try the sink and let you know what happens.
Funny little characters dont you think. I just love him.

Just took these today...here is Razzle demonstrating his bathing method.  Doesnt he look like he's having a blast?  Maybe if you show these pics to Cleo, she will give it a try !   If she's anything like Razzle, nothing looks as fun as what the OTHER bird is doing!!  LOL

He is so cute. I will try to put Cleo in sink but he still hates his bath. It probably will scare him, but I am going to give it a try. He is way to interested in my CAG and Umbrella rather than me. All I read is that If I dont keep close with him he will turn mean on me and I dont want that. I am going to try to send this picture of Cleo for you to see. I am not that good at this.
