hi Michelle - I've been around for a while, but have only recently had some time to start posting once in a while.  I'm sure you'll have lots of fun here and get lots of good info.

  I read your post about your severe - wish I had some helpful advice.  I know first hand that severes can be bratty under the best of circumstances, so I'm sure Max is going to require lots of time and patience, but I have no doubt that he'll come around bit by bit as time goes on.  Even though he's hard to handle, I bet you can see a difference in him since he came to you.  Baby steps.

The biggest(& most heartwarming!) difference is that he now says "Happy Bird," so yes, there's been improvement.
