Hi, Liz! Welcome to Bird Brainz! I see that you have one of my favourites ... a cockatiel. My little guy is Pepper, and he is also 6 years old. He was hatched in July. He is my second tiel. I also have Basil, Indian Ringneck (will be 8 in May), Sage, female White-Eared Conure (will be 5 in April), and Beaujolis (Beau for short), female Hahns Macaw (she was 10 last August). I'd would love if you started an album so we could see some pictures of Wally and your lovie (what is the lovie's name?). I'll be looking forward to hearing all about you and your birds. Again, welcome to The Nest! Abby |

I am a new owner and new member. Peek ,N, Boo, are my three males. I hope you can see the photo. Will try to take a better photo. Peek and Boo (Mr. G-Green with yellow, Mr. B-lighter Blue with black tail), were given to me by my brother in October. They are fun lovely birds, noisy and active. N-is the third one, he was a rescue through Freecycle. A lady rescued him from a family who were going to turn him loose. He was alone, in a dark cage, covered up. His diet was seeds, cheerios, I decided that he could discover the other two on his own. I set the cages close together (I know I should have quarantined him luck has been on side) He was delighted to discover his two buddies. N has brightened up, eats well, couldn't get to the others fast enough. All of them cling to the side of the cages, calling and calling. During flight time I decided to let them all out -they ended up in the same cage happy as parakeets can be. There have been no problems, just the usual teaching N to eat raw vegies, mixed veggies, celery, and so on. The cage stand rolls, I take them with me into other rooms, watch tv, hoping they'll do the dishes and clean the house Happy New Year to all, Make your birds stay healthy Frances |
