Hi, Daisy! I'm happy that you found us! I understand that you have three Cockatiels and two Greys. I sure hope you can start an album so we can see some pictures. We all love seeing each others pictures, and we love sharing stories as you'll see by our boards! lol I share my home in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, with Basil - female Indian Ringneck (almost 8 years), Pepper, male Cockatiel (6-1/2 years), Sage - female White-Eared Conure (almost 5 years) and Beau - female Hahns Macaw (10-1/2 years). I have two adult sons. One lives on the Mainland with his wife, and the other lives just a few minutes from me with my three grandchildren. Again, welcome to the nest, Daisy! We look forward to hearing all about you and your birds! Abby |

Hi Daisy. Welcome to our fun group! I began with 2 cockatiels almost 10 years ago and now have 15 cockatiels, who live in their own separate 8x12 house. Your pair may become a flock before you know it! I think that CAG's are a wonderful bird, and would love to have one, but my dogs aren't good with small animals and birds. Shadow and Cocoa are okay with my cat Simba, but she was here first. My daughter is 32 and has a CAG and 2 cockatiels, one of which was a son of my original cockatiel pair. My son is 29 and has had birds also, but had to give them up when he moved to a no pets allowed apartment. Neither is married right now and no grandchildren. I live in a small town (Oroville) in north central Washington next to the border with British Columbia. I grew up here, moved to western Washington for 31 years and then moved back here 4 years ago. Anyway, welcome again! Kathy |

Yes, Daisy we are almost neighbors! I drove through northern Idaho on my way to visit Glacier Park back in 1998, with my original pair of cockatiels. I bought them the day before I was planning to visit my parents and brother in Oroville, so the first couple of weeks I had them, they saw a lot of interesting places. If all 9 eggs hatch you may have to help the parents by supplemental handfeeding. When my cockatiels had 6 babies in a clutch in 2000 I had to feed one of them because she was so much smaller than her brothers who were born 5 days earlier. Have your cockatiels had babies before? No this is there first batch. I have all the supplies we need if we need to. Sound like my traveling CAG's and emil the tiel the greys come from tx went to mich and then i picked them up in mich and brought them to Idaho when they were about 4 months old. then emil was 3 months and brought him from Mich at the same time. they are now going on 4 years. They were the best traveling partners I got video of them on the way home. I always have to go back and watch the little clip. J |
