I love the name of your city ... Toowoomba. It sounds so exotic.
 
I live in British Columbia, Canada, near Victoria. My four feathered companions are Basil - female Indian Ringneck, Pepper - male Cockatiel, Sage - female White-Eared Conure, and Beau - female Hahns Macaw.
 
I have to adult sons, both of whom are married. The younger one Jason and his wife Kate live in Vancouver on the Mainland, and the older one, Murray and wife Laura, lives a few minutes from me, with my three grandbabies, Emily, Julia and baby Murray.
 
I'll look forward to getting to know you, Josie!

Welcome to BB and hope you join in posting very soon.
We are a casual group and I think one of our favourite past-times is looking at members pics and getting to know their flock.
I have quite a few species all spoiled... I do have a web site that has some of their pics in it.
I was up at Pt Douglas for quite a few years. Do you know the area? My brother in law was a Bush vet , he and my sister both emmigrating from Scotland (not together as they met at a cricket match) Other relatives are in Adelaide where my nephew Steven is CEO of the RSPCA and my widowed sister in law is going back home soon.
