Hi! My name is Rhonda and I hail from Idaho. I have just inheireted 6 parekeets from my daughter in-law. I have 3 dogs, 2 which are trialing sheepdogs. And one cat, who feels the birds are beneath her to even bother with. I have learned alot from the groups with my dogs and thought i could do the same here.

Rhonda

Welcome to The Nest, Rhonda!

If you have any questions, please just ask away. Folks here love to share their experiences.

You sure do have a nice variety of companions. I share my home near Victoria, British Columbia with Basil - Indian Ringneck, Pepper - Cockatiel, Sage - White-Eared Conure, and Beau - Hahns Macaw. I have two adult sons, and the older one and his wife live just a few minutes away, with my three grandchildren: Emily - 6 years on March 4, Julia 4 years, and Murray who will be one year on June 15.

We look forward to hearing all about your parakeets, and your furry friends as well. If you are able to start an album, we'd love to see pictures!

Again, Welcome, Rhonda!

Abby

Rhonda welcome and it is so good to have you here...

I don't have any little birds but there are a few Keet owners around who will welcome you when they come online.
There will be a lot of chirping and singing with six of them... and who knows amybe a lot of pitter patter of tint clawws being added in the near future

Now to the sheepdogs I had so many growing up on the farm and they were wonderful working dogs and on weekends we'd go to the "trials" and they'd compete. Anytime I go home I have to attend the competitions... I better say I have to attend the dog competitions incase something thinks I compete in them.

We are glad you are here and please share stories and photos with us.

Welcome Rhonda.
Are we talking Old English Sheepdogs? Can they actually see the sheep?
I'd love to see pics, too. You will discover we are picture crazy around here.

I live in southeastern Oklahoma with a hubby of nearly 50 years and two Chihuahuas, NaeNae and Sonny, an African grey, Murphy and a female eclectus, Diana.

I bet you noticed the noise level when you got the chirpy little budgies.  They are such busy little things.
Annie

Welcome to the group Rhonda!  I live in Oroville, Washington, so we live pretty close to each other.  I have 15 cockatiels, 2 dogs and a cat.  The cockatiels have their own little 12 foot x 8 foot house in the backyard.  My dogs and cat can't be trusted near birds.  This group has a lot of good information to share, and is so much fun.  Kathy
