Hi Everyone,

I am owned by Zeus - he's a cag. He is 3.5 yrs old. He found me before he hatched and we have been together ever since.

We live in NC. His cage is built into the wall in my foyer (thanks to husband) he loves it because he is always around someone. He loves to talk, sing dance...nothing on demand though only at his own will. Calls my husband all day long, calls my rottie (Roxie) then tells her to go lay down. He rings the different phones (cells and land line) it's funny to watch everyone go running for them....

I work about 1/2 mile from the home, I get to go home for 1 hour lunch daily and spend time with him. Yes he is spoiled and my grown children and almost grown children are jealous of him. My grandbabies love him though and he tolerates them but no one else.

That's all for now.

Mari

I had posted a welcome to you in another thread and was wondering what species Zeus was...

He sounds like a lot of fun and I too have a CAG, still a bit of a baby who loves to be outdoors imitating all the wild bird calls which attracts them to come and visit in the trees and shrubs looking to find their own kind... instead they stay confused

Abby (our fearless leader) will be along soon to say welcome.... maybe she overslept this morning as usually she is here by now...

Again... welcome to BB.........

Well this is funny....in my welcome on the other thread, I was guessing if he is an African Grey!  Mind you...the posting time of mine is 8 something....but that's not when I started it...I think it took me all of 20 minutes what with stopping...getting my girls up...taking my dog out...coming back with a cup of coffee...then finally hitting the send button.
Like I said in the other..I have one Cag...Ruby....and one Tag...Tickles.  Tickles is the talker......jabberbox I should say.  I finished handraising her from friend.  Then Ruby I adopted from a sweet lady from Ga.  She handraised Ruby but due to sad and stressful circumstances,  Ruby and her pals were left to themselves for months.  During that time, she quit talking and has never taken it back up.  The only word she will say is "heeeeelllllllooooooooooo".  But is our mimic.  She prefers anything wild....since we live in the woods...there are lots of wild sounds.  Never a dull moment between the two.
I don't doubt you'll enjoy the group here.

Hi Mari, I am going to say Welcome Back because I checked and you were a member long ago. I recognized your name.
I think you got Zeus since you were here before. You were "expecting" him last time you posted.
Anyway, glad you came back to us. Many of us have been here for 8 years or longer, so you may recognize some of us.
Annie
