I'm just the wife of an IT in the Navy, so Miss Mango is fine.  My husband has shore duty now so she wont have to adjust to him being out for long periods of time.  I've only owned her about a month and a half or so anyways.  One of my gurlfriends relocated across country and didn't want to put Miss Mango through the stress of the car ride.  I think she would have done fine but my friend didn't want to chance it.
Mango gets crabby if I'm gone for more than my usual 8 hour work day.  Like yesterday I went to work at 9am and my hubby picked me up after work and we went to the drive in after, so I didnt get home till about 1130....man did I ever get an earfull!!! LoL   The only other time she'll get crabby is if she's up past her bedtime.  As odd as it sounds, I have her on a routine, I cover her around midnight when I go to bed and my husband or myself will uncover her around 10 or 11am, earlier if my husband goes into work before I do.  So if I have her out past midnight she gets snippy and witchy, lol.
She's an awesome bird and I'm glad she picked me for her new momma.

Leslie
