.....Ok, Ok!  So it only took me a month and a half to figure out how to use this
dang new puter, and then I couldn't sign in for 3 weeks because I used the wrong
info too many times...holy crow!
Finally had to establish a new email address and do the whole sign in thing over...
but I'm baacckk!  (As LilBit-MA48...)
A little bummed tonight as two of my baby lovebirds are now in their new homes.
The first baby (a girl) was named Sunset and she went to the breeders of my ekkie
Tiara and my IRN Autumn...my way of saying thank you to them for my beautiful
girls!
Baby #2 (also a girl)...name still not determined...went to her new family Friday night.
Baby #3 (my only boy) is currently sitting on my head!  He was supposed to go this
weekend, but is still here...will know tomorrow on when they will pick him up.  His
name is T.K.
The happy news is....Mango had one egg last night, and another is due late tonight!
We're having babies again!  Yippee!
As much as I hate the smell of the formula, I equally love feeding the babies!
Yes, Abby, I know...still no pix of the first clutch and they are going to new homes!
Installed the software for the camera, but can't figure out how to get them on the
computer!  Still working on that!
And....Tuesday I start a new job, right here in town!
More later!!!!

Hey LilBit-  long time no see !!!  So neat to see you back on here again.  I still remember your adorable story about taking Logan & Autumn to the nursing home/ALF type place and Logan asking for a cookie from each resident or something along those lines.

So what is your new job ?  At last conversation a while back, I think you were getting into real estate ?  Is this something in that same avenue, or a new adventure for you ?

Pookie is doing well.  Hard to believe I have had my little girl almost 4 years.  Don't know how it is possible, but she continues to grow more precious to me each year, when I thought I had already reached my max with her owning my heart.  Ringnecks do that to ya, don't they ?

Hey, long lost bud!  So good to be back!
I can't believe you remembered Logan and the cookie!  (It was the owner who brought him the water I asked for when he asked her for the cookie, little divil!)
As far as the job and all, just finished putting a new posting on about it and my new
babies on the way!
Then I tried to download the chat, but can't get that ole smiley face to appear!  Leave it to me...if it's technical in any way, I can mess it up!  Gonna try again!
Pookie can't have been with you for 4 years!  Has it really been that long???? I
remember when you brought her home and the havoc it involved, if I remember correctly....was it Pookie you couldn't get near???  But, yes...they do have a way of worming their way into your heart very quickly!
Well, going to try this dang download for chat again and see what happens!
More later, bud!

Well, my technically challenged friend, I'm sure glad you persisted and managed to make your way into Chat tonight! It was so great to see you again!

I hadn't realized how far back we go until you mentioned in Chat that Autumn is six years old now! I remember when you got her, LB!!

Anyway, now that you are back in business again, we'll expect to see lot of you on the boards, and of course in Chat next week too! lol

Abby

Hey LilBit-
Yup, Pookie was extremely skittish when I found her.  Will be 4 years in May.  The patience paid off though & we are very bonded now.  I forget who first said this about ringnecks- but it is true... despite the myths of them being standoff-ish, they can also be "velcro birds".

Pookie is both.  She is great with me.  But she still "sounds the alarm" if anyone else gets too close to her cage when I am not right there also.  And depending on the person, she fusses even if I am standing right there too.  My boyfriend is over a lot on weekends so she truly knows him.  For the longest time I thought she was still afraid of him.  Now we know she is not- she is just trying to show she is boss, cuz she will fuss loudly if he approaches her cage to leave her a treat, but the minute he backs up a few steps, she races over for it & I don't think she would take a snack from someone she didn't trust.

On average, she does better with short females than tall males... so many oddities I have picked up over the years to try to make a little sense of her past, but still no luck.  At times I wonder if she wasn't a breeder bird and not really a pet.  She still does not chew any wood, ever.  Just loves tearing up stuff like the palm shredders and corn husks, and goes in cycles with liking to shred paper towels & adding machine tape vs just ignoring them for months.  She just learned to enjoy ringing bells within the past 6-9 months - even though they have been in her cage on toys all along.  She would accidentally bump a toy, hear the bell ring, & ignore it.  Now she rings them on purpose when she is excited or scolding me (i.e. to turn out the lights if it is past her bedtime).

Will go check out your other post now...

Hi You might feel tech chaleged but in your defence the computer is NOT always right. They are bigger and faster than when we first got them at work in the seventies but they are still as weak as the programs. Thats why I have little use for companies like PayPal and others that try to operate with nothing more intelligent than a computer program. Even the most obtuse human I've met will eventually understand when they are wrong a computer program can not. The personal data they can remember for ever and hand around eg. all the info in that little black strip on your credit cards is frightening. Most of us don't mind being trained by our birds but I resent being trained by a computer because of its limitations. I also resent answering the phone to find its a computer conducting a survey or a salesman that is too lazy to dial the number. Good luck from an old guy who likes to play with tech toys but refuses to accept they can replace humans, yet, that day is comming. D.D.
