no i dont think so. the tiels are not in the same room just hearing him is enough to scare them. the tiels may have been with me longer but a gray is my dream bird and he stays. he is my first priority. it come down to either jojo is rehomed or the tiels and im not about to rehome jojo. yes i have to rehome the tiels. i was actually wanting to breed snowball that why i got et and they are untamed. i have one last resort to remady it . going to try to move them further away in the house and give it a couple of more weeks but i dont see that happening. i cant and wont limit jojo on where he goes in the house. |

i hate to do it but cant have them living in fear and i wont rehiome jojo or not get my cocatoo that i also wanted for long time. the tiels are not good campanion birds might make good breeders hard to tell at this point they prefer each other companyh and dont like people much |

Savvy, I just hope that you understand that even with the grey and too, there are no guarantees of friendliness or staying the *dream* bird that you want. I really believe that the tiels will be fine and that they were there first. Good luck in placing these, getting the other etc. |

I think you have made your decision--but have to warn you that if this wasn't worked out I would think long and hard about bringing in a TOO--They are generally very needy birds and can be very jealous of other birds--as can greys. So you may end up with a much worse situation than you have now . Its a balancing act and if you can't handle tiels and a grey a TOO and grey will only be that much harder. JMO!! Katz |

Savvy, I thought I read elsewhere that you had definitely decided against getting the Too, because you had lost contact with the breeder and decided to let Jojo settle in for at least 2 years before you added another bird. I get really confused when you flip-flop your decisions so rapidly. Just slow down and think this thru. If you really want to rehome the teils, do so, but don't bring another bird into your home until Jojo has been with you long enough to grow up and feel comfortable in your home. Twiggy was 2 and a half before Glory came to live with us and it was a fairly easy transition for Twigs, but I wouldn't have tried it when Twigs was any younger. di |

Repost for Savvy (without obscenities) We are a G rated group, please use other words or (**&(*&^ im nor getting a too that on back burner for now di and mayi it has nothing to do with money . or whether i can afford another bird or not it has to do with snowball being scared ********* to the point i fear for her health. | Are you letting the grey get near or on their cage? This is sure a new one to me. |

I have a goffin and 3 greys and cockatiels and none of them seem afraid of hearing the other. They all sing together in the morning. The cockatiels are in another room but they all can hear each other. Give them time to adjust. They'll be okay. My cockatiels have no problem breeding hearing the larger birds either. |
