Hi Too, Looks like you finally got back in here.  GOOD!  Mine is running better this p.m., also.

I don't like the terminology used in that link.  Self mutilation is not the act of pulling or plucking feathers.  It's the act of a bird biting itself til it bleeds from its own body.
My Diana ekkie is a severe plucker and barberer.  She pulls every single body pinfeather as soon as her beak can get a grip on them and chews and shreds  her wing feathers, but she never has brought blood or made a scratch on herself.
I don't need any more suggestions for a cure for her because we have tried every remedy that has been suggested for 5 years and none of them have even slowed down the plucking.  Some remedies made her even more frantic in her need to get them off of her.
I have come to terms with this problem and accept her for what she is, a naked bird with a gorgeous red head and daffodil yellow tail tips who sounds like a sweet little girl talking. She  thinks she's pretty and I tell her she's pretty.

No problem, just needed to comment on the bad terminology in that website cause I am picky about stuff like that.

Even this link that I have bookmarked also uses the terminology of "mutilation" when a feather is plucked from the skin.........
I use the three terms......... plucking, picking and barbering..... Jasmine picks and barbers but doesn't pluck.......... Too2
