hi every one.does any know the color of a miterd conures eye ring?i have a bird that is either a red front or a mitered.he or she has a gray eye ring.can any one help?thanks mitered |

Mitered, these pictures are from the Lexicon of Parrots. Their descriptions in the Lexicon do not give the colours of the eye rings, and I can't really tell by the pictures. Hopefully, someone who has a mitred will come along and tell you. Abby | | Mitred Conure | Red-fronted Conure | |

I looked it up in "Forshaws Parrots of the World." It eyering on both is white. The Mitered has yellow eyes with a gray ring in the center and tends to get red on the cheeks, across the nape of the neck and on the throat and shoulders as it matures. The white front doesn't have the gray in the eye and is a little bit smaller in size. It doesn't develope as much red on other parts of the body as it matures. Hope this helps. Peggy |

I should have read a little futher. The only conure of that type with a grayish eyering is the White eyed. They don't have as much red as the other 2. Peggy |
