Honeysuckle is in one of my toxic plant lists.  It doesn't say which parts of the plant are toxic but I wouldn't use any part.

I wouldn't take a chance on any of it.
My back fence is covered with Honeysickle and has lots of bird nests, old and new... Can we humans eat the flower and nectar? Anyone know? We used to as kids.

Hmmmm.
We did, too. Sucked the moisure out of the flowers. I didn't chew them up though so I am probably not as crazy as you are.

#45 on this list tells what toxins are in honeysuckle. Very good site for inedible flower info for humans. If a human can't have it, I wouldn't give it to a bird unless proven safe.

That was a good site and I read on the Hops that we as kids used to collect for the Armed Forces (I suppose to make meds) I've tried a few of those and they were so bitter........... it's a wonder we're not all dead, or in your case Annie....half dead
