Meet Molly. She is a 2-year-old Jendai Conure. She is a sweet bird, at least to me, and she loves to play. I go through more toys with her then I think I ever did when I had tiels or my Sun Conure. She loves to be bathed, not sprayed, but in the sink. She likes to hang on my finger and swing upsidedown. She loves to play in a towel or anything soft she can crawl under and burble to herself and peek out of. She gives kisses and she's trying to say hello. She loves apple and grapes but only eats the insides and spits out the peelings. The only thing she hates is my mom. She will bite at her and screams a lot if I am gone for a long time, like if I end up in the hospital. She doesn't like Bowtie my amazon I think because he's a lot larger. Actually, I'm not really sure if she's a male or female, but I'm not breeding so I guess it doesn't matter. Sometimes she can be strange like hanging from the top of her cage by her beak, fluttering her wings and screeching all at the same time. I think she now has her full adult feathers in because my mom said their more vibrant an little different color. I have only a little sight so I know she's bright, but I can't really tell colors that well unless they are high contrast. I would love to get Molly someone about her size to play with. When I still had my tiels and canaries, she wanted to go see them, but they were lot smaller than her so I didn't put them together. She goes outside now that the weather is finally getting nice, never loose but in her cage and never in the full heat of the day. She never is left loose by herself because of my cats, though most of them are so used to the birds that they really don't care. She likes wood stuff with bells on them and she has managed to get out the middle part of the bells, the thing that's in there and makes it ring. I find more bell pieces and wood shavings on the bottom of her cage. She likes fuzzy stuff to pull on and preen like she does to my hair sometimes when I hold her. If she's on the floor, she knows exactly where I am in the room and she'll come straight to me. Twice, she knew I was upstairs on the computer doing college work and my mom had the cage door open and was watching her and she came off her cage and walked to the stairs and climbed them. My mom only opens her door when I'm home so I can get her back in if she decides to come out, but she could always use a towel because Molly likes towels. Any, that's my Jendai Conure. I guess I really don't have many problems with her accept that she hates my mom and screams in the morning just a bit too much. I'll let you know if she actually says anything. |

All conures seem to have those wonderful attributes, the noise, the fluttering, the tricks... but they are loves! Just thinking of my Mr P, and I have to smile! |
