my mother is thinking of selling her 4 white face Platinum cockatiels 2 male 2 female does anyone know how much they sell for we got them free when a friend who bred them passed away thanx
White face platinum cockatiels sound so beauiful! I have a big poster of cockatiel pictures, and similar color cockatiels are really stunning. I have no idea what kind of price they could bring. Maybe a pet store or breeder in your area could help you? I hope you can find good homes for them. Kathy
Here Platinums, or Ressessive Silvers, sell for about $150-200 each or $300- 400 per pair. Most of these are from show stock.
Your birds are very nice looking birds. In the pic they look like they have a brownish wash to the grey. Is it the picture true to color? I know sometimes in pics the colors don't show as they really are. Do you have any genetic history on them? I'd love to know more.
yes the pic is true to colour they do have a brown/grey tinge to them nope don't have any genetic histry on them they are trying to breed but everytime they start we get storms and it turns the eggs
Ok, I was just wondering as the platinums I've seen (only a few) and most of the pics show them a light blueish grey with no brownish tinge. I'm not trying to dispute you, just trying to understand the differences. If they have a brown tinge, how do you distinguish them from a fallow that also has the red/pink eyes and a brownish color?
sorry i wouldnt have a clue as to what they are only going what i have been told these are the first i have ever seen as i said they were givin to us so we are both learning oh and i should have mentioned in my earlier post that there eyes are black the pic is deciving dang flash but i just did some reading and Occasionally the flights will appear almost grey-brown and the chest an off-white colour.
