Just another Twiggyism about being or not being a bird.  This evening she was sitting on the back of my desk chair playing with my hair.  Every once in a while, she'd reach down and pull one of the little short hairs on the back of my neck and I would jump a bit.

Everytime she she did it she would say * Ouch, that hurts! Don't do feathers!*  Which is something I say to her when I catch he fiddling with her feathers......" Don't do feathers"   Does she think my hair is/are feathers??  di

I can understand why Ms Twigs would think that your hair is feathers. Actually, years ago when I would play with my hair my ex would tell me to "quit playing with your feathers" ... so she isn't the first to liken hair to feathers! lol

What a little monkey that she pulls the little hairs, knowing it will hurt you, and then beats you to the punch in saying that it hurts!! lol

She is so cute and notices everything... what a little doll.

I really believe I could have gone bald and the ex wouldn't have noticed!!

I think they do see it that way.

With my birds, we use the words "Want a rub?", to ask for having their heads scratched.  One time when I was standing near enough to Cooper for him to reach my hair, he was "preening" the ends of my hair very gently, and asked me if I wanted a rub.  I'll occasionally put my head down for him and ask "Want a rub?" and then he preens me.

These messages so made me smile b/c Dude loves to play with my hair.  At night when we are doing our "putting Dude to bed routine" he loves to grab a foot-full of my hair and tries to pull me through the cage bars by my hair.
