Twiggy has been biting at her bedtime and I've been taking the brunt of her bites for the past week.  One night she even jumped to the floor and tried to attack me and had to be bundled up in a large bath towel and deposited back in her big cage.  I figured out the problem....I had replaced a dull plastic bowl in her sleeping cage with a shine-y stainless steel bowl and she was getting flashes of light off the stainless Steel bowl and it was scaring her to pieces..

That's the background on this Twiggyism.
Last night she went to bed just as nice and happy and contented as I could ask.  Don came in and looked into her cage and asked where she was and I told him Shhhhh and pointed to her sleeping cage.

Don had a shocked look and said, "Did that little biting bastard go to bed like a good girl  tonight?"  Ususally he watches his mouth around her and me, but I guess the shock of not finding me bleeding and crying in the bathroom was such a relief he lost it......

This morning when Twiggy and I were exchanging our lovie morning greetings and getting breakkie ready she told me, *Twiggy looooves her Mommy soooo much!  Mommy is a little biting basta!*

OMGOSH, I hope she doesn't repeat that again.....but she only had to hear it once to repeat it.   di

lol ... she's too clever for her boots, that girl!

It amazes me how kids and parrots seem to instinctively pick up on anything they overhear that we don't want them to hear, and then repeat it! You'd better be threatening Don really well, because if you try putting soap in Twiggy's beak, she'll bite Mommy for sure! lol

Oh no! What a little dickens! I bet Don's in the dog house now isn't he? I'm sure glad you figured out what was upsetting her and corrected it so she stopped biting you. I can't blame Don for being relieved that you didn't have another blood-letting, I am too!

Di at least it is fresh in her mind and if she says it again you can make "other words"...

Just think, it could be a month from now when her mind decided to repeat that and you would have been shocked and probably wondereded where it came from?...

I just plain think it's cute... that little girl has got to know she's the Queen.... But the cute thing is she said YOU were doing the biting!!

Now I don't know what to believe?.....no,  I believe Twiggy! If she says you bite, then so be it and shame on you Di.
