Twiggy loves to *Go to work-y with Mommy*  Which means she accompanies to the oldster's part of the house while I'm cooking and serving meals, doing laundry and other chores.  If I forget to request that she accompany me, she yells for Don to take her *To worky with Mommy.*

Today, just before noon, I gave her the usual invitation and she peeked out of her oatmeal box and said, *Twiggy too busy for worky. Bye bye!*

When I came back into the office a few moments ago she was sitting inside her oatmeal box making phone calls and chatting on her imaginary phone......I guess she had someone secret she wanted to chat with.  di

Aaa jeeez.....I wonder if it was Moe she was taking to.  He's been on the phone all morning too...  I keep expecting to see the pizza truck pull up out front..
(To funny, Di!  Hey - regarding the oatmeal box!  How does she keep from getting stuck in that thing!  Did you cut both ends out?)

That is too funny but sooooo cute.  You can imagine her wanting you out of the way so she can make her calls, I just love her so much.

And I hope you didn't try to eavesdrop... what a cutie she is and so smart...

If it wasn't Moe then it had to be Mica as she has a phone like that... One of the buttons is a bit depressed where I had to push it back since they would like to take them out,  making the phone useless

Etta, I could only WISH that the buttons didn't work on this thing!  I have memorized the tunes...

Crystal have you been to Big Lots? They have in the baby section some MORE of those fablous tunes that we can sing along with and then keep having them run around in our heads while we also hum them out loud...
I got the Bear, Dog and Teddy where the buttons light up as the tune dances around the toy...
Get some Crystal... don't have me humming alone!!

Etta, see Moe's eyes in the photo?  When he gets his talons on a toy that sings - he doesn't let up until I take it away!  Those eyes are flashing due to the fact that I'm near while he's singing.
Ok.....I'll check out BigLots for more singing toys..  We do live for our birds, right?

Awwww ... What a character our Twiggy is! lol  I'm really surprised that something else cropped up that was more important than her going to worky with Mommy! lol  What a hoot ... too busy for worky indeed!!

Maybe you need to set up a secret recording machine so that we can eavesdrop on what she is saying? lol

Sheesh, Crys and Toolady ... it drives me batty when my grandkids play with those toys! lol  I'm not about to get my birds some. Hmmmm ... on second thought ... I could give them to them to play with when I'm at work?

So HRH is too busy for worky now.  I'd imagine you adjusted her pay accordingly

I've been offline for waaay over a week, and missed this post.  I always love reading about Twiggy and her oatmeal box.  And Crystal, I hope you emailed that pic of Moe and his phone to Jen for consideration in her drawings.  That's a great shot!

I've been sitting here, cracking up over all the Twiggyism posts. WAY too funny! I never knew a bird could think like that!
Di, I NEED to see a pic of her! K?

Di  I think Bubba and Twiggy should get together.  We would have featherless, talkative babies.  lol!

Bubba was on his chair in the kitchen and I was standing over him hugging and kissing him and in between kisses he looked up to me and said "What's your problem?"  I laughed so hard.
Bubba also always tells me when it is raining and today we were having a bad wind storm with rain.  He looked at me and said "It's raining in the kitchen!"  I finally got it when I realized how loud the wind and rain was and to him it sounded like it was right in the kitchen.

I wonder what kind of conversations Twig and Bubba would have?

Indy

That is one of my favorite pictures of Twiggy.  She just looks so ready to do battle with whatever task is at hand!  Kathy
