Well here I go kicking and screaming into Winter. As a lot of you know I'm not exactly a cold weather person, and every year I get closer and closer to moving south!

In the meantime I have started my shopping We've done some online, but I like going to stores too. We'll probably hit the stores this weekend and get the tree up.

The garage doors are almost done, and I have to clean the upstairs carpet ( the downside to having puppies )

I plan to do some more baking this year, get my shopping done earlier, and maybe relax and enjoy the season!!

So what is everybirdy up to??

I helped Nan create this page for BB's homepage, and I am thinking she got a little too busy to post it.  lol   I wanted to share it with you all, because it turned out pretty.
Merry Christmas.

I got caught up in baking and gift wrapping and by the time I remembered it I forgot how to put it up I should have written down Tink's instructions!

I'm so sick of turkey casseroles, soup, sandwiches etc.. Anyone else feel like that???
Nan

Yup, I had either a ham, roast beef or turkey sandwich for 7 meals in a row. Ugh. Guess what I cooked tonight. Yep, a roast in my brand new crockpot.  Ooooh, it was wonderful.
Now it's time for spaghetti or pork chops. Anything but ham.

I had the last of the leftovers last night. I love turkey, could eat it 7 days a week. All the pie is gone too, but that's a good thing since I really pigged out. I've had a hunger for pizza so that's supper for tonight. The birds love pizza night.

If I'm not careful, I will look just like a loaf of bread. Tonight we're having French dip sandwiches from last night's roast. My hubby loves sandwiches and I'd just as soon cook every night. He went to 4 stores today hunting French rolls or Kaisers. Gee, I'd have given up after the second store.
I like turkey the day it's cooked, then no more. Hubby could eat it every day and love it.

Wowsa it was 63 degrees here today! I "celebrated" by cleaning out the outside kennel runs, and Wayne worked in the garage. Boy do we know how to party or what?? The next project is to put in the dog/cat door so the outside kitties can still get in to get warm. Lots of sawing going on right now! Hope those kitties appreciate it lol

I'm doing a bit of baking tomorrow to catch some stragglers I haven't celebrated Christmas with yet. My brother and his family went skiing in Colorado for the holidays and just got back. If they had gone somewhere warm I would be envious, but they went to somewhere colder and strapped two pieces of wood to their feet and went downhill at a really fast pace! I think I'll pass on skiiing as klutzy as I am I think that's a good plan!

We've got a collection of movies to watch to ring in the new year, so bring it on! Happy New Year Everyone!!! Nan

It's the very last day of the year 2004.  In southeastern Oklahoma we set a record today on our temp. 75 degrees and a gorgeous day after the haze burned off this morning. That's about 30 degrees higher than our usual temp.
Hope everyone has a healthy, safe and happy New Year.

We've had great weather also and it's supposed to ge in the 80's again tomorrow.....for all of next week and then a cool spell again for another couple of days....... hate cold weather as the birds are stuck indoors and I have to listen to them complaining!!
Another year and I look back and wonder what I accomplished.... zilch!! But next year I've told myself this is the year to clean out all the closets, cupboards and nooks and crannies and trash anything I havn't used all of 2004....... whew.. that will be a struggle as I get rid of something and the very next day.... I NEED IT!!......
I hope everyone stays safe and that the New Year brings prosperity and joy...... Too2

Tomorrow I do my usual look thru my clothes closet, my limit is 6 months.  If it hasn't been used in that length of time, out it goes.  Our weather is pretty consistent all year, average is 65 degrees, so we do have many seasonal changes as far as clothes are concerned.  We support the Rescue Missison Thrift Store, as the other places are overwhelmed with people dumping junk.  di

How did I  miss that Annie got a new crock pot for Christmas?  Santa Claus must read message boards.  I'll have to remember that, and get my list on here next year.

Annie, do you like pork chops or spare ribs with sauerkraut?  Yummmmy in the crockpot, and nothing could be much easier.

I was so tired of turkey and ham, I fixed lasagna for Christmas.  And since I had no one else to eat any of it, I'm sick of lasagna now.  So I have a spiral cut ham in the oven right now.  But there weren't many of them left after Christmas, and I had to  get a really BIG one so maybe this wasn't a very good idea.

I'm going to stay home and have a couple of Colorado Bulldogs and go to bed early. I discovered a long time ago that the new year comes on in if I stay up or not. A HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEARS TO YOU ALL!!!!!

Yep, my very first crockpot. Where on earth does one store a 6 quart crockpot? It's sitting on top of the bird refrigerator and looks so messy.
Hubby would commit murder if I cooked sauerkraut. How anyone with no sense of smell could throw such a fit over it is beyond me.
I want lasagna.  That's something else he won't eat.
We don't have any black eyed peas!! Last year we didn't have any either and my luck was just awful so I'll have to send him to the store tomorrow and hope they didn't run out.
Goodbird, you just gotta learn how to cut recipes in half.

Blessings to each and everyone of you.
Annie
