My isp got online yesterday but naturally that was the day I took the pink chickie in for a vet visit. We also did a DNA test so soon I will have the sex and a name for No Name. So far the little birdie looks great. Weight is good, passed all the physical stuff with no problem.
I was lucky to get the little thing back though a couple of the techs really felll in love lol

Dolly's check up to see if the lead is all gone is next Thursday, and I'm taking 3 others for wellness exams too. Not sure which birdies will go that week or not. and the rest will go the following week.
This week is also spay and neuter week here at Che'Peck and Marsh. I'm hoping to give away several cats/kitties at the yard sale.

The house in town is finished!!! Woooo Hooooo! I am so sick of going in there and Wayne sure is! He put tons of work into the place! So now it's cleaning day today and then it's ready to move in!

Thanks Tink for telling folks I was offline! I hope you like the new author tip I sent!

Yaaayyyyyy it's good to be Back! nAN

The heat here is unreal and the gage while sitting outside the flight shows 120.... sun is full force on that spot in the back yard........
Needless to say the birds are all indoors and not happy about that.
I've been watching TV with them, or maybe they with me......... trying to figure out this crazy world.
And I keep an eye on Dennis. I don't know that I'm prepared to begin another hurricane season this early in the year.........I told my son I'm willing to move back to Oklahoma again.
Arlene (TD) blew down tree branches left over from last years hurricanes and that was an all day clean up since so many leaves and tree debris collects on window screens, doors and the driveway.......and I'm tired of raking the yard which looks like it has a couple of inches of fresh oak tree leaves from one end to the other. 16 sack fulls this time. Less than before... and I can't even remember the name of the last TD..CRS!
Blue roofs are now bare as the tarps are headed for AL I suppose, and every day it's not unusual to hear hammering and power guns replacing last Septembers Ivan's bare roofs.
Florida needs to change the code and let some out of state contractors work on the roofs and tree removal, otherwise the wait will be longer than 18 to 24 months to get a roof put on.
I don't know why I'm bent out of shape over that? especially when man made attrocities has happened once again. Sadness at the state of the world I imagine....Too2

We had a couple of leaks spring up in the rental house and had to redo part of a floor in the kitchen and put in a new shower in the bath. and put up some drywall . It needed painting too so yesterday I spent hours with a belt sander going over walls and 2 doors getting it ready.  I was so sore today that I could barely open my hands, so tomorrow I paint. Wayne has the floor done, and is doing some of the cleaning . ARRRRRGGGGG it never seems to end.

Dolly will have his check up on Monday and hopefully the lead is gone. I'm taking some of the rest in for wellness checks. Should be a busy day! Nan

We had awful thunderstorms last night and the power was off for almost 9hrs. It gets hot so fast. This is just a taste of what we will be getting by Tue. or Wed. if Emily stays on her present course. It looks now like it may go ashore in northen Mexio, but we will still get hammered I'm sure.

I finally got Jade down to one feeding a day. He eats everything I put in there for him. He's such a sweetie. Hope you all have a good weekend. Peggy.

We are getting lots of rain, Again, towns have been flooded with the constant rain lately.  We have had downpours every day since Dennis came through.  It will pour for a little while and then the sun comes out and roast everything to a steam bath,

I talked to TooLady yesterday.  She misses everyone and still does not have the electric back yet.  She does have a generator, so the fridge and microwave are working along with a couple of fans.   Birdies are not thrilled because the generator is on the porch and they can't go out and play.  She has not had rain and the humidity is bad.  It is really hot there.  The power company is hoping to have her back online by this week.....
Sherry:)

I'm so glad Too is alright. To me the worst part of haveing a hurricane (next to being blown away of course) is being without power. We're so far out in the country, we are the last they work on. The last one that came through left us without power for 36hrs and that's way too long. I don't even want to think about weeks instead of days.

It looks like Emily is going to go south of us. It's a small storm so we may not get anyhting from it. That's alright with me.

I need to get to work. Hope you all have a great day.   Peggy

Oh Happy Day! the house is done!! No more hammering , spackling, painting, plumbing!!! We ARE DONE!!! Most of the moving is finishd too and it's so neat and tidy at the house. It seems so strange to be all by ourselves, but I could get used to it.

Still waiting on the reports from the vet,I sure hope the lead issue is over. I'm still worried until I get the all clear.

Rained like heck here two nights ago and we lost a tree to high winds. I'm really glad none are near the house!

I'm going to look for something to fix for dinner!

It's good to have you back. That's a long time to be without power. Emily passed us by completely, just a little wind and rain. It was scarey there for a little while though. I called my friends down in Kingsville (where I got Savannah and Jade) and they were all OK as  well. There's 2 more storms out there even as we speak so it's not over yet. Peggy

Wow!! It's 100 degrees outside. I got  wading pool for our big old outside doggie to lie in. He loves it and we may let the girly dogs try it later if we can get Pudgie out of it lol

We're planning the next renovation project but this time it's for our house. We're trying to figure out what kind of flooring to put in the living room, and what kind of bookcases to build in the library. these two projects should keep us busy for a while. I can't wait to get rid of that carpet!!!

Tom our second son graduates from college on Thursday the 28!!! He is already got a part time job and is looking for one in the social services as well. Life sure moves fast as I remember him on his first day of preschool I'm try going to try not to cry at his graduation!!! He's such a super kid.

Well I just heard the dryer bell ding. Sometimes I feel like a fighter coming into the ring when I hear the silly thing LOL I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Nan

I hate Carpet, Just wish I could convince hubby to let me tear it out with my bare hands and make a nice bon fire of it. IT is PINK.. might be ok if I had me one of those pink birdies. LOL.. I really think one of theses days he will come home and someone will have came in and stole it.. Ya that's it, we got visited by a carpet thief.. LOL..

Stupid Realitor told the lady to put in Carpet to help the house sell.. Put carpet on top of a freshly polished and resurfaced tounge and groove wood floor.. AHHHHH!!! that was 6 years ago, I just wonder if they put that nasty glue on the wood.. I really want to tear up a cornor and look.. But I have been told to leave it alone.. LOL..

Ewwww pink carpeting??? I'd risk it and say something awful stained it and I tore it up LOL.

Tom graduated last night and it's so hard to believe he's done and moved to Kansas city. My chicks are starting to move farther and farther from the nest .

Renovation projects are starting and I'm taking pictures this time! I'm looking forward to all the changes!

Going to go get a plate and have dinner now! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

A very relieved graduate lol
