Hello Bird people! I just expanded our family with a baby Conure. babygirl is so much fun I never knew how playful a bird could be! The Birds I have came from a unpleasant home never out of their cages seed diet only they have really enjoyed there new home they are hardly ever in their cages. They have their own room in the house and I built a room outside their window so they can be outside. Let me tell you about our family, 2 mustache parrots Grouch and Cricket (they don't like the word parakeet) they are very tempered but have loosened up alot I am hoping they breed. If any one can give me a heads up on some books I need to get on breeding please let me know! Also, there is Hi-cee the cockatiel boy, girl don't know when not biting is very cuddley and then there is Budgie the Budgie very cute but dosen't like anyone including the rest of the birds. Then recently I saw the conure and had to have her. Don't get me wrong I love all these birds but its really nice to have one like me back. Grouch is starting to come around a bit more to every time I cuddle and pet babygirl he flies over and lets me touch him a little before he bites me. Any ideas on taming birds that have come from a bad situation please let me know! Thanks for letting me blab! derb |

Here are some sites with good information that you might find helpful. This data pertains to birds from every situation, good or bad, so I'm pretty sure you'll find the answers to many of your questions. It all takes time, patience, and love so there won't be any overnight successes but consistent effort pays consistent dividends. Good luck. |
