Luke 6:12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Mark 1:34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

Mt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Mt 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Mt 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Mt 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? So we see that Jesus was a man of prayer. He went out alone and prayed. He prayed all night sometimes. He prayed for the sick, for children, for us who believe on Him through the teaching of His Apostles and for those who despitefully used him. He taught us to do the same. Men ought always to pray.

How many of us are following in his steps and his teachings in this matter of prayer? This is primarily why people do not see and have the power of God at work in their lives. They do not pray enough or any at all. Prayer and worship brings the very presence of God to you. Unless you have the Holy visitor come and stand before you sometimes, you need to start a good prayer life.
