Jesus called her a “daughter of Abraham?. How ironic then, that Satan had “kept her bound for eighteen long years?Look up Luke 13:16.
A spirit had crippled her. Look up Luke 13:11. Then Jesus saw the woman and called her out of the crowd. Look up Luke 13:12. What happened when Jesus put His hands on her? Look up Luke 13:13. You are set free Jesus said. Healing came through liberation. Freedom from the power of Satan in her life.
Your body may not be bent over. Satan might not be oppressing you physically. But what about your mind and emotions? Are they crippled and bound by the devil?
Don’t be surprised by Satan. Ignorance is part of his plan. He does not want you to understand his tactics. Look up 2 Cor. 2:11 and see what Paul says about Satan’s devices. We are not to be taken in by them because the Word of God clearly reveals the fraud, deception and trickery that Satan deploys against us. With the Word of God we can expose Satan.
KNOWING THE MIND OF SATAN:
As the ruler of the kingdom of darkness, the devil seeks to keep you and me in darkness. What does Paul say in 2 Cor. 4:4? does this apply to us?
Although this verse mainly applies to unbelievers, it is also true that Satan blinds believers to specific truths that might enable them to mature spiritually in certain areas. Let’s look at several key strategies.
SATAN SNATCHES THE GOOD SEED:
Have you ever wondered why a fellow believer who appears to know and love Jesus can ignore “the plank in his eye? To you it is obvious, but he, or she can not see it!!
Sinful attitudes such as bitterness, jealousy, resentment, and anger often go undetected. Dishonesty, selfishness and laziness are easily overlooked until the light of God shines into the heart and exposes sin. Look up Matt. 13:19. This is what happens when the Word cannot penetrate your heart.
SATAN LULLS YOU INTO A FALSE SENSE OF PEACE:
Remember what happened in the garden of Eden? “You surely shall not die? the serpent told Eve as she considered eating the forbidden fruit. In other words there was nothing for her to fear. No impending judgment, no bondage. But all lies straight out of the pit of hell.
SATAN DECEIVES BY MIXING TRUTH WITH ERROR:
Unguarded your mind is Satan’s playground. And one of his favorite games is to “sow tares among the wheat? Look up Matt. 13:25. He mixes in just enough truth with lies to make his propaganda seem reasonable or acceptable.
Remember Satan comes as an angel of light. Look up 2 Cor. 11:14 and see what Paul says.
SATAN WILL CONVINCE YOU TO KEEP BACK SOME OF THE PRICE:
Satan continually seduces a believer to settle for less than absolute surrender to Christ. Remember Ananias and Sapphira? Look up Acts 5:3.
SATAN ESTABLISHES “STRONGHOLDS?IN YOUR LIFE:
Satan’s primary point of attack is your mind. Or your thought life. Few Christians realize this so they take little care in guarding their minds.
If you are living in bondage 2 Cor. 10:4-5 is your only way out. These verses tell us that strongholds exist, and that it takes divine power to demolish them. Only the Word of God can tear them down and render them powerless. But we must participate. Look at Rev. 12:11. This needs to be our attitude and then we can pull down the devils strongholds in out lives with God’s strength.
God bless you always. Faith

Hello Faith58,

Thank you for this wonderful message.  This is so very true and needful to all Christians today.  I do hope many will read this and study into it.

Yes, the mind, or heart is where Satan works.  It is also where God works.

We are told to bring  EVERY  THOUGHT into captivity and subjection to Jesus;  the Word.

The only way we can do this is to keep our minds stayed on Him.  He will keep those in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him.

Why would all of us not desire perfect Peace?

Well, this is a promise from God~~~  this is the way to achieve this perfect peace.

Good message!
Jo
