Before Christ's death He gave the Apostles the ability to heal the sick and to cast out devels; Even in one instents they said with amazment " even the devels are subject unto us"
Yet they seen that there was yet something missing in their Faith. And in the 17 th chapter of Lukes account, in the 5 th verse they asked Jesus " Lord , increase our faith"
Faith is not words spoken; but action taken on promisses proclamed by God to those who Love Him. If I am really a follower of Jesus, and seek to have a close personal relationship to him and know Him as Enoc who " walked with God and was not because God took him". I need to ask my Jesus to increas my faith so that I can shew those arround me Him in all His glory and Power He has given me a His son.
As I listen to Christ talk to me He says now that He is gone " I am the Light of the world" That I should let my light shime so that those arround me should see my good words and glorify my Father in Heaven.
Listen as Jesus talk to you and I threw the beatatudes .
Blessed and i when I hunger and thirst after righteousness , " for I shall be filled"
Blessed and if I shew mercy , " For I shall see God"
Do I want to be called the child of God. Then I need to be a peacemaker. I need to quit talking about people and there faults , even sharing what there faults or hurts are with others instead of keeping them between me and God in prayer.And being a good listener when someone else is talking bad avout someone.
Matthew tells us in verses 31 and 32 of the 6 the chaper;
therefore tak no thought, saying , What shall we eat ? or , What shall we drink? or, where-withel shall we be closthe?
( for after all these thing do the GENTILES see.) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
It is my nature our make up to want a good home, plenty to eat and to look good when we go somewhere. But wh have them first. Look inside yourself I had to be hounest with God He know our hearts and our thoughts and entents.Doese God really come before those things.
I used to get more upset because I missed a paymet than if I missed prayer time with Christ
I used to get more overtime in at work then prayer time, Bible reading, or church serves combined.
Think about it , Ther is nothing rong with any of these , look at Abraham , Solomon, David, and Job. Is the priorites that we have backwords.Does God come before these in my life??
Like me If you are more upset because your car breaks down than breakdown in your relationship to Christ ie: prayer , Bible reading, church attendence ect, then you and I need to repent and get our priorites going in the right direction.
This is all about faith, fait is a walk, and action not a deffinition.
Matthew also tells us in v 33 of the same chapter " But seek ye first the kingdome of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you"
Are we starting to get a good picture of Faith now , Faith will take us as deep in Christ as we are willing to go. I have to askmyself :
I have to ask myself ?
1 What is the Kingdome of God ?
2 What is His righteousness?
Christ's Word tells me the kingdome of God is Love , Piece and Joy in the Holy Ghost.
And His rightesousness is so much more important than mine for my righteousness is as filthy rags.
Paul goes on to shew us in Acts the 14 th chaper the 27th verse how that God threw him ( opened the door of Faith to (Us) the Gentiles) We were setablished in Faith.
Our believing the Christ was really God come in the flesh, expierenced all the things we did was beaten for us and killed on that cross for all WE ever did and that he rose as He said He would ..
If bye faith I believe that then only by Action dose that Faith become the Substance of thing hoped for and the evidence of thing not seen.That is ( Obedience to Faith)
Paul tells us in Romans 1:12 " That is, that I may be comforted together wiht you byt the mutual faith both of you and me. and in 17 he says " For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from Faith to Faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith.
Look arround you especially on the enternet or the United states. We are surrounded by people who do not believe God Can. Look in your own back yard? How many in our own churches dont really believe God Can????????/
That doesent make Faith in God of no effect, God forbid. In one crusade in the country of Etheopia this year alone over 100,000 people recieved the Holy Ghost.Im not talking salvation here for many proclame thousands getting save but I an talking recieving the Holy Ghost a showing by God I am persent here at this meeting.And to many miricaels and healing to mention here.
O faith is so great a walk but for Now I have to find a stoping point so I dont weary you the reader.
I pray that you will allow God to take you to the point you'll want to spend hours and hours shut in with Him in prayer and praise.The old say " you will be so heavenlly minded you are no earthly good is ironeous. " You will become so heavenly minded you will bcome earthly good.
Let you Faith explode: Study to shew yourself approved unto God only.
