I want to bring in the part of Psalms 40~~~~ for in this is the resurrection of Jesus. I think it is only fitting to finish this message with His deliverance and victory, don't you? Verse one~~~ I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. v 2~~ He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, and of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. v 3~~And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Now, at first one may think this is in no way showing the resurrection; but let's just examine it and see. Verse one~~ shows Jesus as he is the three days and night in the heart of the earth = hell. He is praying to God the whole time he is in Hell. There are those prayers recorded in another Psalm. I will try to find it and show you someday. The reason people miss the truth and the beauty of Psalms is because they think it is about King David. But, no!!! It is all about Jesus. You can learn many things about Jesus in the Psalms and the prophets than is not revealed in the New Testament. ************************************************************* God heard those prayers he prayed while in hell. This is said in verse one. Verse two--- This shows the resurrection = when Jesus was brought up out of hell; and up out of the human flesh = [the miry clay]. When His feet were set upon a rock = when God set Him at His own right hand. He established Jesus' goings by giving Him rulership over the whole creation. ************************************************************* Verse 3~~~~~~~ God put a new song in the mouth of Jesus. This signifies His Heavenly ruling instead of His earthly ministry. A new song in Scripture represents a new move of God. Jesus now has a new message. He is now a member of the God Kingdom = ONE WITH GOD. If you believe Jesus was God while in the human flesh, you will never see these glorious truths and mysteries and find these glorious secrets in the Word. These are greater treasures than all the gold, silver or anything else in this world. |
