~~~~~ Seek Water ~~~~~
Isaiah 41:17--When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
v18--I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
v19--I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
v20--That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
This is a beautiful and very comforting promise from our wonderful God. If we learn to take God’s Word by faith, these things will be for us.
I was trilled by this Scripture when I first learned it. When the poor and needy seek water, and there IS NONE. Now this is saying there will be a time when there will be no water. This can be both spiritual and natural water; for all the things of God can, and do apply to both spiritual and natural. The natural shows what is going on in the spiritual.
Until the N.T. came in, all the Gentiles were a dry desert; not having the rain of the Spirit of God. Our ‘wells?were dry. But Jesus sent us the water of the Word and spirit. He filled us with rivers of living water. He set all those trees in our desert. He made all people to have the blessings of God.
Yet, in the natural, we still have this promise ----- that when we see a time there is no water, be it spiritual or natural, we can call on Him in faith, and He will open up new rivers and fountains. This is one of the most beautiful promises of God to me.
Right now where I live, in Georgia, the water is very, very low. Our rivers and lakes and creeks are almost gone. The little creek below me, out of which I irrigate my gardens, has been so low for the last few years, it is impossible to irrigate. But in the last few weeks it totally stopped flowing. I looked at it a few days ago and it was dry where my foot valve is. Not one bit of water.
I began to pray for God to send some water and not let it dry up. And also I prayed for my well. I know it could go dry in all this dryness we are having. I went down this morning and looked at the creek. The water was flowing again; yet we have had no rain since I last saw it not flowing at all. I wondered how did this happen.
I had been thinking of this Scripture yesterday and prayed about it. I believe God is showing me we can see His miracles and His Word fulfilled if we pray and believe.
I ask each of you to please pray for water. We are in desperate need of it here in Georgia. Thank you, all who will help us pray.
What a beautiful message!  Yes it is trilling to think we can see wonders like this.  I truly would love to see a new fountain or river open up.  Wow!  Awsome.
Yet, I know as you said, it is to be looked at spiritual as well.  I just thought as I read this, that is what is wrong with so many people,  their 'well' have dried up from a lack of the rain of the Spirit.
When we go to church, we hear the same old thing year after year.  Nothing like this.  Why did I not ever hear this preached in all these years?  No one told me I could hope to see new rivers opened up.
I get more out of this than going to church.  They do not feed you.
Maybe the thing about shuting them up caused the waters to stop flowing.  Sure seems like it.  But then there were the false teachers who did not have the spirit to teach them.  What a mess.
Genesis 26
 18   And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.
19   And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water
Genesis 26
32   And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.
Exodus 17
1   And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
2   Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
3   And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
4   And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
5   And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.
6   Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Exodus 23
25   And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Isaiah 55
1   Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2   Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
John 4
10   Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11   The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12   Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13   Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14   But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15   The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw
John 7
37   In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38   He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Revelation 21
6   And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Wonderful message, Isaiah.
Jesus said,  Come to me and drink,  and out of your belly shall flow rivers of life.
Anything Jesus tells us to do is a  COMMAND.  We are commanded to come to him and  DRINK.  What does this mean?
It means to take His Words into ourselves, understand them, let them become us.  Then we can also give out this living water to thirsty souls.
