HI!!!
How is everyone doing today?  I have been racking my brain trying to come up with something for us to do.  I know that today is weigh-in day so it is a perfect time to get something going here again.

What do ya think?  What do you want to do?

Also to start out I would love to get your opinion on some of the diet gimmicks being advertized these days.  Have you been lured in?  What worked..what didn't.  I think this would be a good place to start.

LET'S TALK ABOUT OUR DIET.

Good Morning--Diet wise...LOL have been truly trying but hitting roadblocks...

Since all my heart issues started...am now up to 170 lbs...I did start Cardiac Rehab...and I have started a new nutrition program (all my meals are prepared and delivered)...but the Rehab is on hold because my BP keeps bottoming out...and i am having angina attacks...so...very frustrating and feel like i am on the emotional roller coaster...because i want to be healthy...and i am trying...just my body is not cooperating!  Smile...

So...as far as Diet...am doing www.goodmeasuremeals.com which is local here to Atlanta...cause i really suck at measuring and counting...and i tend to have more of those binge attacks when i have to do all the planning...this way...everything is done..yes the cost is alot..but 100% goes to benefit  projectopenhand which feeds the sick and poor here in atlanta..

We did buy the WII and got the WII fit...that is so much fun...I love the bowling and the tennis...and i love the fitness....just am grounded for right now...so hopefully...

Oh and my internal medicine doctor did change my thyroid medication...

I did get good news...my cholesterol is down to 167!!!!  woohoo

Huggles

and have a wickedly whimsical Wednesday

I'm doing okay today, battling depression that is threatening to swallow me whole.  It's the first time in a while that I've had an episode this badly.  "Diet" wise I'm trying to get back to eating less meat, more veggie based products. I have stocked my freezer with Boca and Morningstar Farms products and single serving veggies that you just put the packet in the microwave for a few minutes and you have a perfect serving to put on you plate.  I get the broccoli as I'm the only one who likes broccoli. I still give in to my diet coke a day habit but I'm working on drinking more water.  Hubby wanted to order pizza last night since he had a friend over so I put my order in for a thin crust veggie. We are moving soon, probably be at least a month and hubby and I were talking and he mentioned getting a dog.  I'm not a dog person really but after thinking about it a few minutes I told him that I was thinking about getting a bike and riding it because it was something I used to enjoy doing and I miss.  But a dog might be the better option because a bike is easy to set in the side of the garage and forget, a dog will have to be exercised and taken out to use the bathroom etc and it's either do it or suffer the consequences lol I've been working on getting in at least 30 minutes of cardio every day and toning exercises for my bat wings.
I haven't given in to any diet gimmicks or fads. I was in the store the other day and for a few seconds mulled over this diet pill that is supposed to flatten your belly but then I passed it on by.
I bought a new pair of sneakers the other day because my old ones were hurting my feet and some pretty tops to spruce up my closet.  I've been wearing the same clothes for so long and I'm tired of the same old t-shirts.  My son asked me the other day how I can stand to wear jeans in the summer, I told him I like to wear jeans, which is a lie, I'd much rather be able to put on shorts and be confident but instead I hide under my jeans.

Am doing great today Lady Majyk.  I've been doing some weightloss research. I've gained a few pounds because of the new mood stabilizers and focus meds am on. I'll post what I find.

I haven't forgotten about Chambers.

It seems like the more I do , the more things I see that NEED DONE!..one day ..maybe I will get caught up...but in the meantime., I am happy to see things are starting to look better around the covenstead.

I am looking forward to the retreat even though there is only one or two coming, it will stil lbe very special to me.and I hope all will have a very special time relaxing in the magick that is Light & Shadows.

Warmest Hugs

Most of what I've done since the temps went up to 110 and stayed there is scheme and plot ways to escape the heat.

I had a door installed to keep at least half of the house cool and got all the fixing's tocreate a pool area...I don't "excersize" much because my feet are in such a "Princess and the Pea" condition and have to be constantly pampered. sheesh doing excersizes in a pool is about all I can handle.

Plus the heat... I don't have to exert myself to work up a sweat... i just have to sit there and drip!

My master plot to get out of the 110+ blast furnace weather is to go up to the covenstead and visit Lady M, but the forcast up there for today said 103 for a high!!!
what's up with that?

She's 1200 miles NORTH of here! she should be like.... artic circle weather!  With a polar bear wandering thru her yard!
LOL

oh well..I'm going anyway, I miss her terribly.

and my vehicle has a mahvelous AC system!

Wagons Ho!

I can't wait for you to get here!!!
~*~
The weather really isn't as bad as it sounds..and besides..the river is only a few steps away and we can stay in the water all day if we want to!  hehehe
 ~*~
I have been pretty lax the past few days.  It is as if I all of a sudden lost my get up and go-go-go!  But I do feel ok...it must be the lazy days of summer for sure!!

I hope everyone is haveing a special start to the week!

Blessings & Hugs

Actually, I have gotten serious again about losing this confounded, unhealthy weight.

So far, so good.  I have been watching what I am eating and making healthier choices. It's starting to work.  I can tell I am losing weight, by the fit of my clothes, feeling better and obvious changes in my body's shape.

Goal #1 = Lose enough that the scale can track my progess.  Get to that one, then set another achievable short-term goal.

What's working so well?  Several things, to tell the truth. One of them is being fully conscious of what I am actually eating.  If I cannot recall from memory every thing I ate at the end of the day, I'm either eating unconsciously or eating too much to keep careful mental notes (both bad).

Another thing? After the evening (healthy) meal, no eating before bedtime.  This is a real killer. However, the ocasional healthy snack, consisting of something like fruit of veggies, is allowed if I determine that I really am hungry, and not just wanting to eat based on emotional or other triggers.

Junk food?  It's outta here!    Nuff said.

But I think the most important thing I have done is recommit myself to being easy on myself and loving myself. Nothing can send me on a downhill backslide like getting down on myself for a temporary setback.  That's all part of agreeing to love and forgive myself. Yes, I'll have days when I just don't do as well.  But if I let them turn into giving up out of feelings of failure and hopelessness, shame on me for not forgiving and loving myself better.

It's time for big changes.  It begins now.    All that is helpful and healthy, postive and loving, I shall keep.  All that is negative, harmful, or no longer good for me, I let go.

It is my Will.

So Mote it Be.

My 4th of July is moving along quite smoothly.  We've had diet no nos (pizza) but I only had one slice I promise. not even a full slice. lol

I've restarted my workout routine and now I have a coach. My boyfriend Jeremy as well as you guys for the support.  Am getting into full gear and starting all over again.  I'm going to start doing some Yoga and some toning exercises.

I'm working on a diet plan right now based on portions and see where that goes.  I have a few long term goals that I'm still sorting through and will put it in my Chamber.

I hope everyone's having a great day!

~Hugs~
Brightest Blessings
