It's that time of year to embark on major, dreaded household projects, such as the infamous “spring cleaning.?Because I love cooking healthful meals, I spend a good deal of time in the
kitchen. In the spirit of spring cleaning ?and to inspire you to cook nutritious meals, too ?now is the best time to clean out your kitchen. After all, you can’t be a productive chef if your kitchen is filled with clutter. So give your kitchen a mini-makeover. Donate appliances you have duplicates of, such as blenders and electric mixers. And if you can afford it, replace old, antiquated appliances with newer, sleeker ones. When you sift through the piles of long-forgotten groceries in your pantry, toss out any items that are harmful to a health-smart meal plan, such as processed snack foods or fat-laden potato chips. Expelling your kitchen of junk will make food preparation easier, allowing you more time to focus on a
nutritious diet for you and your family.
