Pita Snacks

6-10 servings 
time to make 20 min 10 min prep
 
1 (6 count) package pita bread
olive oil
dry basil
garlic powder or garlic salt
parmesan cheese
ground cayenne pepper
 
  1. Split the pita bread into two halves.
  2. Score with sharp knife, but don't cut completely through.
  3. Brush lightly with Olive Oil, sprinkle lightly with basil, garlic powder or garlic salt, Parmesan cheese and Cayenne ground pepper.
  4. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees until golden or lightly browned.
  5. Cool and break into pieces.
  6. We serve them as is and also with side dishes of chopped Jalapeno peppers and chopped tomatoes
