6 to 7 medium tomatoes, diced
1 large onion, diced
1 bunch fresh cilantro, finely chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon red (cayenne) pepper or to taste
Salt to taste
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce or to taste
Corn chips
In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and garlic. Add cayenne pepper, salt, and hot pepper sauce. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight before serving. Serve with corn chips.
NOTE: Chile peppers may be substituted for cayenne pepper and hot pepper sauce. How hot you make your salsa depends on the kind of chilies and the amount you use.
