Apple Cider Vinegar Diet

Although many claims have been made for Apple cider vinegar as an aid in weight loss and fat burning, there is no significant scientific evidence to support this claim. Apple cider vinegar is a solution of acetic acid produced by fermentation of apples. It consists of acid and water and only relatively small quantities of minerals. Although, it does contain a fair amount of Pectinicon, which has recently been identified as lowering cholesterol and may be the secret behind it's fat burning effects.

However, there are literally thousands of people over the years who swear by it and testimonials abound.  Apple cider vinegar has been claimed to relieve arthritis stiffness, sore throats, acne and other skin problems, remove liver spots, reduce cholesterol, promote good blood circulation, prevent dandruff, sooth sunburn, lower blood pressure, relieve headaches, improve digestion and burn fat.  The lack of significant scientific evidence, only indicates that not enough studies have been conducted. The recent return in popularity of this diet is now sparking interest in several studies.

The ACV Diet:

The ACV diet is pure simplicity, in fact, it is a routine that should be incorporated into any existing diet plan.  By taking one, two or three teaspoons of ACV before every meal, you are effectively on the diet.

The traditional diet method, and for those on Low Carbohydrate, or Restrictive diets:  Take as above, or mix with 50% tepid water. Take 15 to 20 minutes before each meal.

Alternative methods. you can Mix 2, or 3 Tea Spoons ACV with 1Tbs. of Honey, juice, etc.. Take 15 to 20 minutes before each meal. However, many find that mixing with honey or juice, tastes worse than with water alone. If it tastes really bad, you are probably taking too much. Reduce the amount of ACV. Some instructions tell you to take Table Spoon measures. Our experience has shown Tea spoon, or 1ml. measures to be just as effective an much easier for taste and tolerance.

You will not get better results by taking more than is recommended. It is strongly advised that you start off with a minimum amount (1 Tea Spoon. 1.5 ml.) then work your way up to 2 or 3 Tea Spoons.

For true success with this diet, you must be consistant. If you want results, you have to take the vinegar (or tablets ) three times a day before meals (four times a day for evening bingers).  As with any diet, there are times it just isn't convenient to follow the rules. When dining out, at work, travel, etc.  You can take ACV tablets , or 2oz. Dropper Bottle along for those occasions.  Some people can't stomach the pure vinegar in the mornings or any time and use the tablets. Then again, there are those who use only the tablets for simplicity.  Use the tablets when pure vinegar is not available or inconvenient.  Although the tablets do work, the liquid vinegar will always give the best results. Although, many people use the tablets only and swear by them. When purchasing tablets, be sure to check the ingredients and amount of ACV present in each tablet.  Many brands have only 15mg to 100mg per tablet. An effective dose is 600mg.

We have all seen those little medicine or vitamin bottles, that have an eye dropper built into the cap.  Clean one out and carry your ACV anywhere. I use 2 or 3 squirts ( 1 Ml.) in a small amount of warm water every morning, noon and night. For those of us who get the munchies an hour or more after dinner, or late night hunger, take another, 4th dose or tablet an hour or two after dinner.

Eat moderately sized portions, without leaving yourself hungry. Try and avoid in-between snacks. The ACV will soon begin to reduce your hunger and food cravings. Most of all. Good luck to you in your quest to loose weight.

For over 2,000 years, Apple Cider Vinegar was known to have healing and cleansing powers. It is a natural occurring antibiotic and can improve digestion and help normalize weight. Ideal for those times you just can't take the liquid, or for those who can't tolerate the taste of liquid ACV. GNC Natural Brand contains 600mg ACV powder, while some others only have 25mg. Avoid disappointments beware of imitations.

If you are interested in the ACV diet to get in shape, you probably like doing things the easy way. There's nothing wrong with that.  I would like to suggest Yoga as an addition to your health and fitness plan.  Many people have the idea that yoga is an exercise plan best performed by contortionists.  That is a big misconception.  Yoga can be practiced at any age, any weight, almost any condition.  The benefits are incredible.  Yoga is known to control weight, lower blood pressure, eliminate anxiety and extend ones life and the quality of life as well.  Yoga is not a religion, although there are those religions that do incorporate Yoga: Hindu, Buddhist, etc.  Their are many types of Yoga as well.  Yoga is a 5,000 year old science.  The word Yoga comes from the ancient Sanskrit, and means "Union".  It is a method of getting your mind and body in balance. Yoga is not about how well you can perform the poses (Asana's), it is about getting in touch with your own being, your own body and freeing the mind of much of the tensions, distractions, over-reactions (maya), etc. It is also free. You really need not buy anything.  Take a book out of the library.
