Thank you to everyone for your remarks on my grand daughter. The picture was taken by my sister Betty at her house, she lives in the contry. There was also pictures of Shelby with my sister's horse but Shelby didn't care for them, she says she's just not a "horse person". ha ha Shelby measured her hair the other day and it's 32 inches long. Her step dad would never let her cut it and she says when she is 18 she's going to cut it but I don't think she will, she's so proud of it herself. LOL She may trim it some but I don't think she'll cut it much. Between her hair and her "Dad's" blue eyes she really has something going for her. Of course I'm not a bit predjudiced. ha ha |

 She just came in and showed me her hair cut.......she took off about 10 inches!!!!!!!! It now comes just to her sholders I think it was. I was in so much shock and she wasn't here long. Her mother was with her and Shelby said "Mom bawled all the way through it". They had to get home so Tim could see it....I'll bet her brother , Lee throughs a fit when he see's her. (Big brother didn't want it cut either.) |

She's suppose to get me photo's of before and after Ruby. She gave her hair she cut off to "Locks For Love" and organization that donates hair for wigs for people who have had chemo therapy of have lost their hair due to an illness. |

Oh Jessie, I know just how you feel. My 2 Grandaughters had always had very long dark beautiful hair but they have been cutting it once a year for the past couple of years & also donating it to "Locks for Love". I agree it's a wonderful cause but I was just so upset when they cut it & had to hide my feelings. I still haven't gotten used to it!! Hugs, Cilla |

I'm getting more use to Shelby's already. I guess it does make her look more "mature" and not just "my baby G. daughter" anymore maybe that's why I didn't want her to cut it. LOL She's very happy with it though and that's the important thing. She's wanted to cut it for so long and her step dad wouldn't let her. He finally gave in.(I think it had something to do with her soon going to be 18 and he knew she'd do what she wanted then anyway) ha ha so he wanted it to be HIS idea. Know what I mean? |
