These are great for suggested readings.  But the Bible is not just to be read.

As Paul puts it in II Tim. 2:15, it is to be studied.  It is to rightly divide the word of truth.

Also, there is nothing Biblical about doing so daily.  But a good suggestion is regularly.

The Bible does teach us to pray without ceasing.  But it says nothing about reading the Bible.

It says to study it.  One can do it daily or as often as one wants.

Then it is a matter of doing our best to live what is in it.  I hope this helps.

Judging by the dates in this discussion, it has been some time since this topic has been discussed, but I'd like to add something to it.

While reading scripture isn't onme of the Ten commandments, if you note the great men and women of Christianity, they really knew  their scripture.  Whether we work on an in-depth study, or just casually read any little part of the Bible, we will grow spiritually from it.    (Be grateful that you can read and put that skill to the best use possible.)

I'd like to reccomend that each of us take every opportunity available to open God's word.   It seems to me, that the more I understand about scripture, the more I get out of the rest of it.

May God bless you in your study of His word.
