From: MSN Nickname SEB1625 (Original Message)Sent: 4/9/2006 2:44 PM II Chronicles 7:14; If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. I was just doing some Bible references and I came upon this familiar verse. Then I recalled quite q few instances in my Christian walk when I would hear some preachers say there is going to be a nation wide revival in our time and we'll all see it. I know that there are many revival meetings that go on in our nation and that many times pockets of true revival breakout. In fact within our body of believers we've been experiencing revival for quite some time. I hear of simular meetings also. However, a nation wide revival will definetely take some old time Holy Ghost conviction and some old time repenting and turning toward God. I have come to find out that the words if, but, or and, and are some of the most powerful words in all the Bible. In a real sense they command an, let us say, a change of action. So here are some things we must be aware of id in fact we will have a nation wide revival. (1) If my people, are we one of His people (2) Are we one that is called by His name (3) Will we humble ourselves (4) Will we really pray (5) We can't seek His face if we're not born again (6) Will we turn from our wicked ways. Look at what he'll do if we will do the things He mentioned. (1) He will hear from heaven (2) He will forgive our sin (3) He will heal our land. So will there be a national revival? Yes there could be but, the church must first show that we are serious with God because how do we expect to have an impact on the lost if we are some much like the world. Judgement as well as repentence must start in the house of God. Love In Christ, Brother Steve |
