They come to a time and a place where they must choose which way they will take in life the right way or the wrong way, the way hellward or the way heavenward. This indeed is a very critical place in life to be. At this crossroads they should think soberly and very sincerely. To act unwisely here here may mean their undoing in their future careers, their undoing in health or education. Their undoing mentally and morally and will certainly mean their undoing spiritually. In a sense life hangs in the balance. The devil's compass may point in different directions. It may point to bad habits. It may point to money making and even ay the sacrifice of honesty. At this crossroad the devil's compass may point to our youth to start drinking and smoking. They start with the thought that they will find pleasure in these things. They think that they will never become drunks or cigarette addicts. They will go along with the crowd and be one of them which ever or all that that crowd chooses to become. They don't realize they will become shipwrecked as physical, mental, social, moral and spiritual wrecks. Another of the devil's compass points is adultry. This is one of the most demoralizing evils of this present world. It is God's plan that our youth should marry when they truly love each other and are led by the Spirit od God and will be faithful and true to each other till death. Let's think and look at another compass point at the crossroads of life. God's compass. Do not fail to get your eyes upon them and completely fixed on them always. It points to Calvary and the blessed glorious Savior and Redeemer of all mankind. Whosoever that will repent, humble themselves and seek mercy and forgiveness and yield entirely to His will. God's points also include salvation, holiness, and Heaven. It points to noble manhood and womanhood, character, honesty, sincerity, truthfulness and all it takes to make life joyous, peaceful, and worthwhile. Whose compass are you following? It is up to you. Mom and dad cannot follow you around 24/7. The devil will compel you to go his way but he cannot force you to, only you can. So make the right choice and follow the compass points of God's everlasting Word. You will never go wrong with Jesus as your Captain. |
