How would you have acted, If in that father’s shoes, Your little child lay dying, And there was nothing you could do? You see the doctor pacing, and nodding his head his head, I’m sorry sir, he’s going fast, He’s on his dying bed. Here’s the situation, as the doctor proclaimed, The child has got to have some blood, Or the end is very plain. Your son’s blood is very rare, And as hard as I may try, Without he has that special blood, Your child is going to die. So the family gathered close by him, All were by his side, But the father ran into the other room, As if to try and hide. He closed his head and bowed his head, And feel down on his knees, Begging God with all he had, LORD would you please. And before he could continue, The LORD touched his heart, He remembered God’s salvation, For which he had a part. Then he remembered the pastor’s words, As God’s answer was very nigh, Without you have that special blood, You are going to die. So as he prayed that special prayer, Almost about to cry, He knew now that he was welcome, In that home beyond the sky. Caught up in the emotions, He forgot about his grief, Until his wife came rushing in, With something beyond belief. It’s a miracle, it’s a miracle, She couldn’t contain her joy, There’s a man outside with the same blood, And he wants to help our boy. Overwhelmed with excitement, The father felt revived, He shouted without the blood, No one can survive
