Did Jesus Blood Fall To The Ground
Hebrews 9:19-26
Text Verse 22

The book of Hebrews is one of the greatest books in all the Bible. It has a great many things to say such as the Mosaic Law and grace, faith, mercy and angels and of course our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. It speaks about the blood as being an atonement for sin.
There was the sacrifice of different types of animals for many various sin or sins individually as well as the nation as a whole. Daily sacrifices as well as yearly. Even though the blood of animals would never be sufficient enough to cleanse the very soul and heart of man for the many sins he would and still does commit it is always interesting to see that it is always blood that makes an atonement and I’m so glad that the final blood sacrifice was made for me and you that day on Calvary’s Hill when the LORD Jesus Christ paid the final blood sacrifice for out sin and the many sins we would commit while we’re still here.
The world of the agnostic, the liberal, the proud, and religious world and all those that hate God and those who do not want to come under His authority hate this bloody religion that we have but they still don’t understand that Christianity is not religion. They believe that man is basically good and will eventually evolve into a god themselves or be exactly like God the Creator. They hate the thought of having anything at all to do with blood because of their fanciful thoughts concerning God.
I’ve heard it said that only the death of Christ was what was needed to save and also I’ve heard it said that none of Jesus blood fell to the ground or it only fell to the ground as nothing. What a terrible thought to say that the blood of Christ is as nothing or none of it at all feel to the ground and that it is not essential for our redemption.
The Bible says that Abel’s blood cries out from the ground because his brother Cain murdered him out of pure jealousy. Cain I believe knew the way of what was required of a proper sacrifice but rejected the way of the blood simply because he wanted to do it his way and not God’s way. Cain is a type of those who through all the centuries who reject the blood of Christ as the atonement for sin. They all have rejected grace and mercy and they, like Cain will miss their part of that precious blood that Christ shed for all.
Leviticus 17:11 says that the life of the flesh is in the blood. It stands to reason that if one would loose enough blood that life will cease. Another example would be like one that receives the wrong type of blood during a blood transfusion. The body will reject the wrong type and eventually life will end.
In the spiritual realm we have much the same thing that will happen. We, as sinful human beings, need a blood transfusion from the wrong type that is in us when we belong to satan before being born again. We belonged to satan before we got saved. So in a very real sense we had his blood running through our veins.
So when we become born again we receive the blood of Christ not only as an atonement to redeem us from sin but I believe quite literally His blood runs through our veins. Those who reject this transfusion reject eternal life and only Jesus can supply that life changing blood.
When a person says or thinks that some of the blood of Christ never hit the ground is wrong. We have to remember that He was beaten severely the night before and was whipped unmercifully that day. So with this in mind we have to be conscious of the fact that He was bleeding profusely and that some of His blood did in fact hit the ground.
The blood that hit the ground represents that person who looks at the Savior hanging there and may even walk right up to Him and stare and wonder and then turn and walk away and reject the precious blood that Jesus was shedding for them.
The blood that didn’t hit the ground was to us that are saved it as all sufficient to cleanse us from all sin (s). It is indeed our blood transfusion from the life blood of satan to the life changing blood from Christ.
Remember that without His blood there is no redemption and also there is no pardon of sin or removal of the guilty feeling and sense of sin, nor is there removal of punishment or the change of the nature of a sinner.
So, indeed some of Jesus blood did fall to the ground and yes He died and yes, it took much more than just His death, it still takes the blood.
