Well here we go again. Time for folks in our part of the country to be voting for President/Vice President, Governor/Lieutenant Governor, Board of Education members, Senators on the state level as well as senators on the national level.

Then there all those others as Agricutural Commisioner and Clerk of the Court and and Board of Education and all the other various seats up for grabs that some say don't matter.

The one thing I see that is very annoying to me personally is that most on the local levels put out their signs and 99% of them do not have what political party they associate with.

While keenly aware that the party they associate with doesn't always tell you what they stand for it can be used as a sort of yard stick to kind of let us know who they are and what they believe. Some say that the ones in these smaller postions have no bearing on the direction that the nation or state or county will go and they have no bearing on the laws and articles that govern the people of our nation or state or county's and townships.

Well I'm here to tell you it does and should make a difference to each and everyone of us. Why in the name of the LORD should a Christian want to vote for a Board of Education member that may be liberal and want to bring in books that teach ungodly behavior and God forbid let Planned Parenthood in our schools, please LORD help us and have mercy?

Why would we want to vote for a County Commisioner that may want to let ungodly things come into a county such as bars and honky tonks and strip clubs and this is the same with City Aldermen or councilmen as some call themselves.

Then there are the judges that many refuse to acknowledge who they are prone to associate with. Ever stop to think whay there are so many liberal judges with all their liberal rulings that have ruined our nation and state and our laws and it's moral stands. I could go on and on but what is the point?

People are so concerned about their pocketbooks instead of what thus saith the LORD. I just find it annoying that to try to find out about these folks you almost have to go through the FBI to get any information on these folks and what they stand for. You can't in many cases rely on the newspapers for so many of them are so politically correct they want to do a full length profile and then not ask the tough questions to hold these folks' feet to the fire so they ask them the comfortable questions that doesn't reveal who they really are.

I personally want to vote and support people that will come closet to what would be pleasing to the LORD and good for the people as a whole instead of a bunch of special interest thugs. So before you vote for anyone, check them out and see where they stand according to the Bible.

Brother Steve

Brother Steve, many times on the local level people are NOT affiliated with any party.

For example, I ran for City Council in my town.  I did not declare myself a Republican or anything else, because the Republican party did not ask me to do so and did not sponsor me.  I sponsored myself.  So what I am to do?  I ran on my own name and my own platform.

Many local people do the same.

Oh I agree with you Brother. As I said in my post it's not that you can always rely on party affiliation but even with what you said it's still hard to find out where they stand.
I wish they would be more outright with what they believe instead of working so hard to find out anything about them.

Here in our area, the only candidates that don't put the party on their signs are the democrats.
