This was mentioned in an article on another thread so I thought I would start a new one on it.

Does anyone honestly think it would ever be overturned?  It is law. It is the way of the land (so to speak) much like pre-marital sex.  There is no turning the clock back and no changing the cultural mainstream.

Is overturning it really the goal?

I think it should be about capping any further atrocities---partial birth abortion, late term abortion, etc. and teaching people about abstinence and birth control if they are going to go ahead in their sexcapades.

maybe i am naive....

I mean it is like saying you want to make alcohol illegal again.   I am not trying to minimize killing babies; but, hopefully you get where I am coming from.

Minimize the damage.  I know it's all we can hope for.

I also have never believed it would be overturned.

Roe v Wade will never be overturned.  The only people who seem to care a thing for the unborn are Christians who see it as murder. Not all repubilicans are evangelical Christians, many are fiscal conservatives.  It's just another part of this world going to hell in a hand basket.  Nothing can be done, because so few want to do anything about it.

It would be nice to be rid of this murderous law. Probably not is our lifetime but one fine day God will over rule man and then it will be.
There is coming a day praise God.

Roe V. Wade is very lengthy case. The following are a few links for anyone that would care to read the ruling:

I like the format and presentation of the last link. But there are numbers of others all you need to do is Google: 410 U.S. 113, 114 or just Rope V. Wade

I am curious to know how those that oppose the ruling want it changed. It can be overturned and if so what you you suggest replace it?

There is much said about Roe v Wade, in my opinion, based on what people precieve it to be lacking in actual knowledge of what the Supreme  Court held in the case.

Do you want to discuss Roe v Wade and come to some ideas on how the case can be over turned?

Don
