I have a great thanksgiving today:
Our oldest son has had an alcohol problem since his teens and was spending 300 to 400 dollars a month on it. We had started praying much for him and in February of this year he just totally quit in one day and he knows it's God that did it for him, for he does not even have cravings.
We have been praying that God would call him by the Spirit to Christ - and a couple of days ago on the phone he said he had read David Jeremiah's What in the World is Going On? and he knows he needs to be in church and raising his daughters in church. He has promised to attend next Sunday and wants to know for sure he is saved, too.
Isn't that just great? We praise God and give thanks to him, for what is heaven without our children and grandchildren? How can we enjoy heaven if they are lost? I rejoice that God is working on our family!
