A FRIEND OF MINE TOLD ME TODAY THAT HIS CAR STOPPED RUNNING IN FRONT OF A CHURCH LAST NIGHT. HE PULLED INTO THE DRIVEWAY OF THE PARKING LOT AND GOT OUT OF THE CAR. AS HE WAS PONDERING WHAT TO DO NEXT, THREE CHILDREN (HE SAYS THEY WERE EIGHT OR NINE) CAME UP TO HIM AND SAID WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS, ''CAN WE PLAY AROUND YOUR CAR?''

HE ASKED THE OLDEST GIRL TO REPEAT HER REQUEST, THINKING IT STRANGE. HE THEN HEARD HER CLEARLY SAY, ''CAN WE PRAY AROUND YOUR CAR?''

HESTATINGLY, HE SAID, ''SURE.''

THE OLDEST GIRL LEAD THE PRAYER AND THEN ASKED IF ANYONE HAD ANYTHING TO ADD. THE ONE BOY SAID SOME WORDS QUIETLY AND THEN THE CHILDREN TURNED AWAY.

AS SHE WAS LEAVING, THE OLDEST GIRL TURNED HER HEAD AND SAID, ''THERE, IT'S FIXED, NOW.'' THEY CONTINUED OFF TO THE CHURCH.

MY FRIEND GOT BACK IN HIS CAR AND TURNED THE KEY. IT STARTED RIGHT UP AND CONTINUED TO RUN UNTIL HE GOT HOME.

MT 11:25 At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

MT 18:3 And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
