Ham Steaks with Southern Comfort Sauce
4 ham steaks (gammon),
2 tb finely chopped onions,
2 tb Southern Comfort Whiskey,
1 tb brown sugar,
1/8 cup flour,
1 oz butter,
3/4 cup of stock or water,
salt and pepper to taste.
Score edges of steaks.
Melt butter and brush on steaks. Fry for 6 to 8 minutes per side. Using remaining butter fry onions. Remove from heat and stir in stock, flour and sugar. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in Southern Comfort whiskey. Serve steaks with sauce spooned on top.
